One of the great joys of spending so much time on Sligo Creek is the serendipity of meeting new people. We didn’t set out to interview renowned photographer Stephen Davies, but we did walk up to a guy with serious camera gear and ask him if we could talk to him for our site. The moment he spoke, we realized we knew him — or of him. We’ve seen him give eye-popping presentations about his passion for wildlife photography — especially birds at the Wheaton Branch Stormwater Retention Ponds off Dennis Avenue.
