Tired of being stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic and wish you could get outside with other people without worrying about social distancing or getting sick? Join Eye On Sligo Creek Publishers Christopher Lancette and Won-ok Kim on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at 10 a.m. Eastern time for our first-ever Facebook Live broadcast!
We’ll go for a short walk in the Sligo Creek woods and settle in at the University Boulevard retention ponds. Learn a little and laugh a little while we bring some companionship and the great outdoors right to your computer screen or phone. This is an entirely spontaneous, live event so we don’t know exactly what you’ll see. We hope some of our Canada goose, mallard and great blue heron friends make an appearance. Maybe some deer, too. We’re pretty good at entertaining people so we’ll make the best of whatever we happen to find that morning!
All you have to do to participate is visit our Eye On Sligo Creek Facebook page at 10 a.m. A live video screen should pop up the moment we go live. You can expand it to full-screen from there.
You can make comments and ask questions, too! This is our first experiment with this. Should be fun!
While we hope our broadcasts appeal to everyone, we’re thinking especially of our friends in the senior community – the people most at risk to the virus and most in need of a way to have some fun in the safety of their own homes. We’d love it if you could let your older loved ones know about this and help them access the event on Sunday.
See you on Sunday morning!
