We spotted this belted kingfisher perching in a still-standing dead tree overlooking the retention ponds. The orange band crossing the belly indicates that this is a female kingfisher. I noticed that she is extremely patient and lightning-fast when she dives for fish. Unfortunately, she was a bit distant so I could not get high-quality shots of her.
