Observing birds in snow is like having a joy of watching two beautiful things at once. Here are photos of great blue heron, canada geese, mallards, cardinals, white-throated sparrow, house sparrow, and dark-eyed junco, in snow, taken from the Sligo Creek trail as well as my backyard in Silver Spring, Maryland.
