I’m Chris Lancette, and this is my story of why I joined the Maryland Master Naturalist program – an effort partly inspired by my mentor, Henry David Thoreau. Never heard of MMN? Think of it as an ecology 101 course followed by chances to get hands-on, feet-wet experiences that protect Mother Nature. I just completed the education part of the program through the Audubon Naturalist Society, producing this video as my last assignment. Now it’s time for me to roll up my sleeves and get to the volunteer work, which is going to be much more fun than it is work!
